PAINTING IN TURKEY

The light, landscapes, picturesque seaside towns, markets, wild flowers, ancient sites and Turkish life are particularly inspirational for painters of all abilities.  The density of shadows and intensity of colour offer new challenges to both the amateur and experienced artist whether they are just interested in capturing in a sketchbook the flickering sunlight on the swimming pool, or a more ambitious rendering of the perspective of the ruins of an ancient amphitheatre, softened by red poppies.  Inspiration is all around!
